Thank you for your interest in holding your wedding in The Anglican Parish of St Luke, Toowoomba.

The Anglican Parish of St Luke consists of three church centres, St Luke’s, All Saint’s and St Mark’s Anglican Churches.

The Anglican Parish of St Luke offers more than just a special place for your wedding. It is our aim to provide a balance of traditional Anglican spirituality, vibrant liturgy and a relaxed atmosphere for all aspects of your marriage preparation and Wedding Service.

On this page you will be able to find all the information you need to begin planning your day. Start by downloading our Wedding Information booklet and Application for Marriage form.

We look forward to meeting with you and joining you on this special journey.

St Luke’s Anglican Church, located on the corner of Herries and Ruthven Streets, is an attractive bluestone heritage-listed church with beautiful stained glass windows and a magnificent pipe organ.

All Saint’s Anglican Church, tucked away in the beautiful, tree-lined Arthur Street in East Toowoomba, has the charm of a country village church with a historic white timber frontage and gorgeous stained glass windows.

St Mark’s Anglican Church, located on the corner of High and Angle Streets near Picnic Point, is a more modern alternative to the traditional church building.

The music you choose for your Wedding Service will contribute to the mood of the special occasion and should reflect the sacred nature of the Christian marriage ceremony itself. Therefore, we have created a suggested list of music from which you can select. Each of our churches has an organ and the cost of the organist is included in your wedding fee.

At St Luke's Church it is recommended that couples make use of the outstanding organ (one of the very best in the country) for music by which to enter and exit the church. The organ fits very well with both the architectural ambience and grandeur of the occasion and enables the wedding ceremony to resonate with the particular sacred space of the setting.

Readings from Scripture and the Prayers of the People form important parts of the Wedding Service. At least one reading comes from either the Old or New Testament.  You can have more if you wish. Additionally, you may also wish to use other readings such as poetry; these would need to be discussed with the Priest.

You may wish to invite family members or friends to present the readings or lead the Prayers of the People, enabling them to contribute and become a special part of the ceremony.

Please download Suggested Readings for a list of readings from Scripture from which you can choose.
