Worship

The most important way in which we meet as community is gathering to worship God, the source of all our lives. As part of the Anglican Church of Australia we use resources drawn from our Anglican heritage, in particular A Prayer Book for Australia (1995).

Service booklets are produced each week allowing us to draw on a variety of sources and resources to guide our worship.  Copies of these booklets are available through our blog page.

Some of the historic and current resources used for prayer and worship in Anglican Churches can be explored here:

Study Groups

Groups meet regularly on weekdays and evenings in homes. Please contact our Parish Office for more details.

Mother’s Union

This International organisation is expressed in our parish through groups which meet on the third Thursday in late morning (beginning with the 10.15am Communion service at St Luke’s) and the following Tuesday evening at St Mark’s.  Please contact our Parish Office for more details.

Men’s Group

Men of the Parish (anyone is welcome!) meet once a month, usually on the third or fifth Fridays).  We meet over a meal and sometimes have a speaker.  It is an opportunity to connect and share, enjoy one another’s company and support one another.   Please, contact our Parish Office for more details.

Coffee Craft & Chat

All are welcome to come on Monday mornings at the parish centre from 9.30 – 11.30am.  Bring along a craft project that you are working on, or just come for morning tea and a chat. No skills required. Good fellowship and we occasionally come up with parish projects to work on.

Namalata

Four times each year we produce a small magazine which explores faith and life in community, drawing on our own experiences and the experience of people in other places.

If you would like to receive a printed copy please contact our parish office.

Music

Music is a vital part of life. We sing almost as soon as we can speak, or before! Song and other ways of expressing our life in music, touches on the heart of who we are as human beings and as spiritual beings. As part of our worship services we sing, using a variety of old and new resources.

Music is also offered and led on the organ, piano and other instruments. We are blessed with some extraordinarily talented musicians in our community!

We also enjoy hosting concerts and other ways in which music is offered. Some of these we organise ourselves and others come to use the wonderful acoustics and space of our buildings. Please explore the events page for more information, and come to join us in song as we worship!
